Curious Coaching by Karolina Rifert · last updated July 2026

This page covers three things: working with me as a coach, using this website, and using Curiosa, the reflection tool. Plain language throughout — if anything is unclear, ask: karolinarifert@gmail.com.

1. Who you're dealing with

Curious Coaching is the coaching practice of Karolina Rifert, registered in the Netherlands (KvK 97486000). I am an ICF ACC-certified coach. Contact: karolinarifert@gmail.com.

2. Coaching services

What coaching is — and isn't

Coaching is a structured thinking partnership. It is not therapy, psychotherapy, medical treatment, or legal or financial advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. If at any point therapy or medical care would serve you better, I will say so. You remain responsible for your own decisions and their outcomes — coaching supports your thinking; it does not replace it.

Packages and booking

Current offerings are The Clarity Session (one 90-minute session), The Clarity Programme (3 months, 8 sessions), and The Clarity Partnership (6 months, 12 sessions). Details and current terms are agreed before we begin, in writing (email counts). Sessions take place online unless agreed otherwise.

Rescheduling and cancellation

Life happens — especially in the lives of the people I coach. Sessions can be rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Sessions cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours' notice may be counted as held. Programmes and partnerships pause rather than expire in cases of illness or emergency; talk to me.

Payment

Sessions and programmes are invoiced as agreed before the engagement starts, payable within 14 days by bank transfer. Under the Dutch small businesses scheme (KOR), Curious Coaching is exempt from charging VAT; invoices therefore show no BTW.

Confidentiality

What you share in sessions stays between us, within the limits of Dutch law and the ICF Code of Ethics. The rare exceptions: where I'm legally required to disclose, or where there is serious risk of harm to you or others.

3. Curiosa — the reflection tool

Curiosa is a free, self-guided reflection tool on this website, built on the Clean Language questioning method. By using her, you accept the following:

Attribution

Clean Language was developed by counselling psychologist David Grove (1950–2008), who deliberately never trademarked or registered his method and encouraged others to build on it. Curiosa is built on his work with gratitude and credits it wherever the method is described. Curiosa is an independent tool created by Curious Coaching; it is not affiliated with, certified by, or endorsed by any Clean Language training organisation or the Grove estate. For the method itself, good starting points are cleanlanguage.co.uk and the book Clean Language: Revealing Metaphors and Opening Minds by Wendy Sullivan and Judy Rees.

4. Privacy

Curiosa sessions

What you write to Curiosa is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate her responses. Curious Coaching does not see, store, or receive your session content. When you close the page, the conversation is gone. Conversations sent via the API are processed by Anthropic as a service provider and are not used to train its models. Please don't share information you'd consider sensitive.

What is collected

An anonymous usage signal. When a Curiosa session starts, the site sends a notification containing a timestamp and nothing more — no name, no email, none of what you wrote. Netlify, which hosts this site, may process standard technical data (such as IP addresses in server logs) per Netlify's privacy policy.

Your summary — emailed directly to you, unseen by me. At the end of a session, Curiosa offers to email you your session summary. If you choose this, the summary is delivered to your address automatically through an email delivery provider (legal basis: performing your request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — machine to inbox. Curious Coaching does not receive, read, or store the summary itself; I receive only your email address and your newsletter choice. If you additionally tick the letters checkbox, your address is also used for occasional emails from me (legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Neither happens unless you initiate it.

Contact and intake forms. If you write to me or fill in a form on this site, I use what you send solely to respond and, if we work together, to deliver the coaching. Client records are kept as required for Dutch tax administration (7 years for invoices) and otherwise no longer than needed.

How your email is used

If you opt in to letters, your address is stored via Netlify Forms and my email service provider and used for one purpose: occasional writing and news from Curious Coaching. Never sold, never shared for third-party marketing. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or write to karolinarifert@gmail.com and I'll delete your address promptly.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time via karolinarifert@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

5. Website & intellectual property

The content of this website — text, essays, frameworks, the Curiosa tool and character, logos and visual identity — belongs to Karolina Rifert unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to share it with attribution; please don't republish or commercialise it without asking.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by Dutch law, Curious Coaching's liability in connection with the website and Curiosa is excluded, and liability in connection with paid coaching services is limited to the amount paid for the engagement concerned. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

7. The practical rest

These terms are governed by Dutch law; disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If any provision turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force. I may update this page from time to time — the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
